Demetrios Dimitriou

Demetrios Dimitriou is of counsel with the firm of Dimitriou & Associates, P.C.  Mr. Dimitriou is a San Francisco practitioner who primarily advises attorneys who are starting, moving, selling or terminating their practice on issues concerning their documentation, fees, professional liability, and ethical and internal professional practice management concerns.  Mr. Dimitriou regularly serves as an expert witness on ethics issues relating to attorney fee and internal practice management, and also provides estate planning and general business advice for professionals.

Mr. Dimitriou has been welcomed as a guest lecturer by schools and organizations across the country, including the University of Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Practice Management Section, the Practicing Law Institute, California Continuing Education of the Bar, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and other national, state, and local bar associations.

Mr. Dimitriou has published articles and other materials for the California Continuing Education of the Bar, the ABA Journal, publications of the ABA Law Practice Management Section, the California Bar Journal, the New York State Bar Journal, the South Carolina Law Review, and other professional publications.

Mr. Dimitriou is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Lawyer's Club of San Francisco, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.  He is a Fellow with the College of Law Practice Management. 

Mr. Dimitriou is a member and past Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco Ethics Committee and the Executive Committee of the Law Practice Management Section.  He is a former council member of the ABA Law Practice Management Section, serving as Chair of its Multi-Disciplinary Practice Task Force and its Professionalism, Ethics, and Competency Committee.  He is also a former member of the California State Bar Ethics Committee.

Mr. Dimitriou is "AV" rated by Martindale Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys.  This is the highest possible peer rating an attorney can receive, indicating preeminent legal ability and the utmost ethical standards.

Mr. Dimitriou received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
